Once again this year, 4TU.AMI organizes a mathematics competition for secondary school students together with the German mathematics institute MATH+. The wrestling match is played online in the form of a digital Advent calendar, the so-called MATH+ Advent calendar. This is also known as the Mathekalender.
From December 1 to December 24, participants can open an authorization from the calendar every day. There appears to be a challenging math problem with ten possible answers. Students who correct the most puzzles solve things and win the MATH+ grand prize. Nice prizes will also be raffled off in between. The best Dutch student will receive a prize from 4TU.AMI.
Students can work individually with the entire class participants. Participation is free. So bring this battle to the attention of your students!
4TU.AMI is a collaboration between the mathematics department of the universities in Delft, Eindhoven, Twente and Wageningen and the applied mathematics groups of the University of Groningen.
