NWO has awarded in total to 102 experienced researchers a Vidi grant worth 850,000 euros. The grant enables them to develop their own innovative line of research and set up their own research group. The following 9 researchers from mathematics were chosen
- A leap into quantum domains, Francesca Arici (UL)
- Measuring the shape of data, by Magnus Botnan (VU)
- Spacetimes near the boundary of existence, Annegret Burtscher (RU)
- Discovering Quantum Shapes, Pieter Belmans (UU)
- Transitions between order and chaos in stochastic environments, Maximilian Engel (Uva)
- HiWAVE – Natural hazard prediction with adaptive hierarchical wave models, Julian Koellermeier (RUG)
- Optimization on curved spaces, Richard Kraaij (TUD)
- Who shall survive? Flexible statistical models for the dynamic prediction of patient survival, Mirko Signorelli (UL)
- Power Network Optimization in the Age of Climate Extremes, Alessandro Zocca (VU).
